Yogi Vemana University is an as of late settled University in Kadapa district with West Campus at Idupulapaya. Earlier, it was a bit of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. It is named after a phenomenal genius, researcher, and social reformer Yogi Vemana, the most watched Telugu essayist and savvy ever.
Late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the previous Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh gave his 312 sections of land (1.26 km2) of area to manufacture West Campus. A present day idea school, which is called 21st Century Gurukul. The college is named after Yogi Vemana who is known for his philosophical teachings and honing Achala Paripurna Raja Yoga. Kids are taught his teachings and ballads at school as a feature of normal syllabus and good science at schools.
The College Yogi Vemana has been renovated by the government of Andra Pradesh (AP) in the year of March, 2006 and the yard is spread in excess of around 450+ sections across the village.
